We've been looking at building a small scale biodiesel plant for fleet truck use and the biggest issue I'm coming up against is disposal of the waste water. My understanding is that the high BOD (biological oxygen demand) levels in the wast water is a problem for most municipal waste water treatment facilities and our local plant (Jacksonville, FL) does not allow water to be discharged with high BOD levels. Have you had any experience in dealing with this issue? I have not seen anything conlcusive online describing how to effectively reduce these BOD levels.
